Quilters from Columbus, Ohio and surrounding communities make up the Columbus Metropolitan Quilters. Our goal is the same as it has been since 1978 – to promote the appreciation of quilts and quiltmaking. Membership in CMQ is open to anyone interested in quilting – by hand or machine, traditional or contemporary – regardless of skill. Guests are welcome to attend our monthly events. We hope they will join after two meetings. Dues are $25 a year. We offer many options for our members: monthly meetings include programs and socializing with other members, special quilting days and sew-ins, seasonal quilt block challenges and a Kid Quilt Challenge, demonstrations at community events, annual winter shows and biennial spring show, monthly newsletter, picnics, workshops and lectures.
